Labour Care
The woman may contact Janine in early labour or when ever you choose. If home is the chosen place of birth, Janine will ensure all the relevant resources are available. The main items being:
- Oxygen
- Suction
- Instruments and cord clamps
- Oxytocics
- Resuscitation equipment
- IV cannula and therapy
- Doppler and pinnards stethoscope.
- Back up hospital booking in place
If hospital birth is chosen, then transfer will occur when the woman is in established labour.
The midwife will monitor the mother and baby during labour at regular intervals. If deviations from the normal occur
