Hospital Transfers
Janine has extensive training in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics and in the Newborn. Being very familiar with the Normal Progress in Labour, it is as familiar and easily recognised when things are deviating from ‘Normal’ for mother and baby. It is in times like these that we as a community are very fortunate to have Hospitals, Doctors and Interventions such as Epidurals, Assisted Births and Caesarean Sections. Janine will discuss all options and in discussion with women and their families support you in the event that a hospital transfer was needed, stay with you for hours Postnatally, optimally until after the first breastfeed.
